Understanding and Interviewing Child Molesters

These one-day training sessions(two-day advanced training in Cape Girardeau only) will provide training for those in the child protection community that focuses on understanding the psychology of various types of child molesters. 

NO COST to participants. Eight (8) hours of POST Continuing Education Units are provided without cost for law enforcement. All attendees will receive certificates of attendance.

Topics covered include:

  • Situational vs. preferential child molesters
  • Grooming and seduction techniques
  • Women that molest children
  • Understanding the victim-offender bond
  • Developing interview strategies and techniques
  • Excuses and justifications used by child molesters
  • Sexual predator and sexual offender registration laws
